"I want you to train Joe. He's a big problem. He's simply not good enough. He just doesn't do what I want" This request from the MD of a manufacturing company prompted my response (much to that MD's surprise):
"That doesn't sound like an investment that will pay dividends".
Why's that questioned the MD?
You and your business will benefit by training your good people - they're already committed and they will want to do even better - for themselves and for the business.
ANYONE WHO IS WASTING YOUR TIME AND YOUR ENERGY IS UNLIKELY TO BE A GOOD INVESTMENT - YOUR BEST INVESTMENT WILL BE IN YOUR GOOD PEOPLE. WHY THROW AWAY YOUR HARD GAINED PROFITS.
